Two mutually hostile Palestinian factions, Fatah and Hamas, agreed to design and administration with the election in three months. Thus the two factions officials on Wednesday (05/15/2013). The agreement was reached at a meeting held on Tuesday (14/05/2013) night at the Egyptian intelligence headquarters in Cairo. In the talks, attended Fatah official Azzam al-Ahmed reconciliation affairs and colleagues from Hamas, Mussa Abu Marzuq. "We must take immediate measures to agree on election law to be prepared and the Palestinian National Council agreed date of the election," Ahmed told Voice of Palestine radio. "We've said all steps should be implemented within three months," added Ahmed. Meanwhile, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zohri said the two organizations have decided to resolve all issues of reconciliation within three months, including matters related to unity government as well as the legislative and presidential elections. In April, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has started talks on Palestinian unity government after Prime Minister Salam Fayyad resigned. Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, has never recognized the power Fayyad as Palestinian prime minister. Hamas continues to recognize as prime minister Ismail Haniya them. Both organizations struggle of the Palestinian reconciliation agreement signed in Cairo in 2011. At that time, the two rivals agreed to prepare for legislative and presidential elections within 12 months. Unfortunately, the implementation of the deal was stalled because of the lack of agreement on the formation of the interim government. In February 2012, another deal to resolve a discrepancy between Hamas and Fatah signed by Mahmoud Abbas and Khaled Meshaal in Doha. However, the agreement was opposed by members of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
